Setting the Imagination Free

One of the casualties of trauma is the enslaving of the imagination. We replay the events, we relive the experiences, we become re-traumatized because our imaginations have been taken captive. Other things have also been lost or enslaved, but imagination is so powerful that it is hard to heal without it. 

A creative act is one that invokes imagination, making the invisible visible. It reflects what is inside of us…
